About the Artist
It's a big, wide world. I get my inspiration from nature. Everywhere we look we can see beauty: whether it's in the fresh rain drops on a leaf, the sparkle of individual snowflakes, the texture of the western red cedar, the colors of the sunset or the magnificent transience of a cumulus cloud. I live surrounded by mountains in the Columbia valley where wildlife and birds abound. Each season brings new discoveries. Nature as narrative is what I hope to create through my pottery. That, and a functional piece that will wear well with the user.
